Alberto Lama's journey into law began with a strong academic foundation. He earned a high school diploma in foreign language specialization from Liceo Scientifico Gregorio Ricci Curbastro, Lugo (Ravenna), Italy, in July 1998. He also spent an enriching year of study at Chittenango High School in New York State, USA, during the 1996-1997 academic year.

His legal education continued at Bologna University, where he earned his Law degree in October 2003. His final dissertation, "The application of antitrust law in the antitrust Authority’s practice and in the Italian case law," showcased his early expertise in EU law. Alberto further specialized by completing a Master’s degree for International Lawyers (M.I.L.) at the Bologna University EU Law research center by June 2004, delving into various aspects of EU and international law.

Alberto's commitment to learning is evident in his continuous studies. He attended The Hague Academy of International Law in July 2009 for a Private International Law course, covering general principles, public international order, conflict of laws, WTO, and international arbitration. Most recently, in July 2025, he honed his skills at the University of Bologna's Summer School on Cross Border Litigation and International Arbitration.

A Career Forged in Law

Alberto's professional path began with a traineeship in Brussels, where he focused on antitrust and competition matters at both EU and Italian levels. After returning to Italy and successfully passing his lawyer's qualification exam in December 2006, he built extensive litigation experience from 2007 to 2014, practicing commercial, civil, and international law in various Italian courts.

In 2014, he moved to Milan to help establish a local branch for a law firm/accountants firm from Bolzano, contributing to its growth until 2019. That same year, driven by an entrepreneurial spirit, he founded his own firm, Alture Legal. From 2023 to 2025, Alberto served as a Consultant for a London-based firm, primarily assisting foreign clients in the UK, further expanding his international reach.
