Meet the Team: Maggie, Client Coordinator at ViaMonde

Client Coordinator is the humble name for Maggie’s role at ViaMonde. To our clients, she is the one who turns dreams of citizenship into reality. To our team, Maggie is our go-to when we hit a seemingly insurmountable paperwork roadblock.

With an undergraduate degree in Political Science and International Relations, and a Master's in Education, Maggie began her career in Elementary Education and personal training. Her experience honed her skills in research, organization, and communicating in an approachable and accessible way. After navigating her own application for Italian citizenship by descent, Maggie chose to switch career paths in order to help others struggling to jump through the increasingly difficult hoops set by Italian law makers.

“Between the constant changes to Italian laws and my own family history, I joined ViaMonde, (Italian Citizenship Concierge at the time) because I know how confusing Italian citizenship can be. I wanted to help people learn more about their ancestry, but also give them a way to connect with Italy.” Maggie finds her passion in assisting clients who know their goals, but aren't sure how to get there. “Many people just don’t have the time to get there on their own”, which is where Maggie’s services as our lead Concierge Document Coordinator truly shine.

With ViaMonde at her side, Maggie applied for Italian citizenship through residency. During her time in Italy, she learned hands-on how much work goes into a successful transition to life abroad. “As someone who was not fluent in Italian, I was happy to have Carla and Jennifer there to assist me with the communication at each appointment.”

Maggie’s own journey gave her a deep understanding of the emotions inherently wrapped up in the process of Italian citizenship recognition. For some, it begins as a means to a passport, for others, the sentimental connection is there from the beginning. In the end, all of those who undertake this right of passage experience the same emotional rollercoaster. “I love hearing how excited clients are when we find missing family information or complete the document phase and are waiting for their recognition.”

Maggie left our clients “truly speechless” with her kindness. “No one has ever done anything like this for us… Maggie warmed our hearts in a very special way.” -Deana

“Thank you for all of your hard work, Maggie. And congratulations on my recognition.” -Paul

“My number one piece of advice for moving abroad is to try everything! Try new food, or a new routine, or traveling on your own. This is the time to challenge yourself and step outside your comfort zone.” -Maggie
